Selling or keeping your claim

Selling is a choice. Consider the agreed proceeds, the rights you give up, and your willingness to wait for an uncertain outcome.

If you sell

You receive the agreed purchase price subject to the purchase terms and closing conditions. The buyer receives the future rights covered by the sale. Those rights could ultimately produce more or less than the price you receive. Review any continuing obligations in your agreement.

If you keep the claim

You retain the rights you have in the claim and remain exposed to the outcome of the case. Future distributions, if any, depend on the claim’s treatment and the estate’s available resources. Timing and amounts may be uncertain, and you may need to respond to notices or requests.

Questions for your decision

How much would you receive after any deductions? Which rights would you sell? Do you need liquidity now? Are you comfortable waiting without a guaranteed recovery? Consider your own circumstances and obtain independent advice where needed.

You can ask without committing

Searching the register, requesting an offer, or signing up for pricing updates does not sell your claim. You can review the proposed terms before deciding. Your obligations, if you proceed, are set out in the documents you sign.
