How offers are determined

The amount shown in a source record is not a purchase offer. Wychwood reviews the individual claim before deciding whether to offer a price.

Face value and purchase price

Face value describes the stated amount of a claim. The purchase price is the amount a buyer agrees to pay for the rights being sold. Neither a listed amount nor a purchase price confirms what the bankruptcy estate will ultimately distribute.

What we review

Our review considers the claim’s documentation and status, ownership and transferability, potential recoveries, expected timing, disputes, and transaction costs. Uncertainty about the amount or timing of future payments can affect the price we are willing to pay.

Understand the economics

Wychwood seeks a return from purchasing claims. An offer reflects our assessment and required return; it is not an independent valuation or a prediction of your final recovery. Compare the net sale proceeds with the uncertainty and waiting involved in keeping your claim.

Check the complete offer

Confirm the dollar amount, currency, claim amount used, any deductions, closing conditions, and expiry date. Pricing updates are informational; a sale requires review and agreed purchase documents.
